Adapting to the Challenges of a Changing Environment (ACCE) is a Doctoral Training Programme (DTP) and partnership between the Universities of Sheffield, Liverpool and York, the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH), and the Natural History Museum (NHM).

ACCE exists to produce the next generation of exceptional biological scientists, using techniques from palaeontology to planet-wide remote sensing to tackle an uncertain future.
ACCE Conference '24: Share your work, explore a world class museum, and meet the next generation of biological scientists

We are delighted to announce that, for the very first time, the ACCE conference will be held at the Natural History Museum! The conference will be held on 5-7th November 2024, featuring one away day and two academic days. Not only that, but we will also be celebrating the tenth anniversary of ACCE!

The conference will be full to the brim with student talks, poster sessions, plenaries, workshops, and so much more.

The away day will take place on 5th November, where we will spend the day touring the NHM, and getting a peek behind the scenes with guided tours of collections not open to the public. Find quick links to the essentials below!
